Hackers Have Been There, They’re Still There, and They Will Be There For The Greater Good

Ah, Hackers. I mean, you can’t live with them, but you also can’t live without them. They are one of the most influent people in what’s going on nowadays. However, as a gaming website, I would just love to stay away from the global meaning of the word hacker. I would prefer to talk about those who hack in video games than bring this down on a global scale.

Those guys can sometimes make you laugh hard and sometimes push you out of control. But, what’s more important is that those hackers are the very reason that Game Developing and Anti-Cheat Companies are getting better and better nowadays. If they did not exist, I doubt if efficient coding was going to exist. Whether that is an Aimbot, Wallhack, or Speedhack, it doesn’t matter. VAC, Battle Eye, EasyAntiCheat or any other Anti-Cheat developing company would’ve not achieved the level of knowledge they possess nowadays.

Improving Games is a job, not a Crime

One of the biggest and saddest failures throughout the history of game developing companies is connected to Massive and The Division. The game that I loved from the bottom of my heart. Sadly, hackers broke it down. I mean, they did not break anything, but they’ve scattered a big chunk of the game’s fully committed players.

And this is the reason why hackers/cheaters are doing such a great job at some point. They have taught the developers at Massive a lesson on how to structure a game from the bottom to the top. That’s why, when there’s The Division 2 in the future, I am more than sure it will be harder to break. I mean, the word “HARD” is not appropriate for the hackers, but the game will surely include an improved Anti-Cheat system. And all the credits go the very old “Hackers” once again.

In the gaming industry, they are the machine who’s pushing game developing companies to think out of the box. I am glad that’s happening, however, I am feeling quite disrupted when I encounter them :). Well, I guess it’s a known part of every single gamer’s life, and every one of us has experienced the bitter they offer.

I've spent half of my life playing video games, ever since the competitive 1.6 era. Now I am happily married to Margarita Kicevski, and have two beautiful children. My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
