GTA Online’s Terminal HSW Time Trial Route Avoids an Off-Road Shortcut
The route follows roads from the Port of Los Santos around the Alamo Sea instead of cutting across desert terrain.
GTA Online’s Terminal HSW Time Trial has a route that favors the main roads over a desert shortcut. A community-shared route map starts around the Port of Los Santos, runs north through the city, follows the highway along the east side of the Alamo Sea and across its northern edge, then turns west toward Mount Chiliad.
Taking that route gives up about three miles compared with the off-road cut, but keeps the car on pavement for most of the trip. It is not a guarantee against crashes, but avoiding the rough desert section removes one hazard during a high-speed run. Stay on the northbound roads through Los Santos, follow the highway around the Alamo Sea, then take the northern road west instead of cutting across the desert.
