Modder xoxor4d has released Update 1.1.7 for the Grand Theft Auto 4 RTX Remix Path Tracing Mod. The small-but-focused patch brings new materials, fixes for several audio and crash issues, and a few runtime tweaks.
Key user-facing changes include new PBR materials for sidewalks and roads, fixes that make bar-shaped and firetruck sirens light up properly, and a setting to change moonlight brightness. The update also updates the Remix Runtime and addresses per – draw-call modifier issues.
The mod remains demanding and is still best run on high-end GPUs with DLSS 4 and Frame Gen enabled. The in-game cellphone UI also continues to show visual glitches that can interfere with gameplay. If you want to try the new build you can download it from the official GitHub release. Console PC Gaming covered the mod’s first public build and later shared screenshots that show how path tracing changes Liberty City in practice in a separate report at our screenshots piece.
