Gray Zone Warfare May 7 Update fixes crashes and various other issues

Madfinger Games released a new update for Gray Zone Warfare on May 7, 2024. According to the developer, the update fixes several issues, including the missing head from players’ bodies.

The servers are back up, and the game has been going quite well so far. What’s really important is that the developer has changed the connection prioritization, so players will now join already running servers with other players rather than without.

GZW HOTFIX #03 PATCH NOTES | CL68992

FIXES

  • [FIXED] An issue that prevented players from canceling matchmaking
  • [FIXED] A crash in the Friends panel when searching for friends
  • [FIXED] A common UI crash
  • [FIXED] Several other, more general client and server crashes
  • [FIXED] An issue where players lost their head, clothes, or containers after rejoining a server
  • [FIXED] An issue where the DLC apparel would appear in the stash after claiming

CHANGES

  • [CHANGED] Optimized server connections to prioritize joining already running servers

It looks good for Madfinger Games, and if they continue with the same pace, I can really see the game becoming something much bigger. In my eyes, Gray Zone Warfare looks more like an Arma Wasteland game mode rather than any Extraction Shooter.
