Polyphony Digital is back at it with another monthly update for Gran Turismo 7 on PS5 and PS4, bringing fresh rides, new challenges, and a bit more brainpower to its AI system. Patch 1.60 drops worldwide soon, promising to keep the racing action going for fans who thought they’d seen it all.
The update starts with three new vehicles joining the garage: the classic ’87 Citroën BX 19 TRS, the rally legend ’92 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Rally Car, and the current ’21 Peugeot SUV 2008 Allure. Quite the mix, right? From vintage charm to rally fury and a slick SUV, there’s something for almost every taste.
Patch 1.60 Release Times
- North America: 11 pm PDT (Wed) / 12 am MDT / 1 am CDT / 2 am EDT
- UK/Ireland: 7 am BST
- Europe: 8am CEST / 9am EEST
- Asia/Oceania: 3pm JST / 2pm AWST / 4pm AEST
Beyond the cars, the update adds a new menu dedicated to Mercedes-Benz, which should delight fans of the German automaker. Three new events have been added to the World Circuits tab: the Sunday Cup, European Sunday Cup 400, and World Rally Challenge Gr.B. If you’re eager for some fresh racing tests, these should keep you busy for a while.
One of the more interesting tweaks is the expanded support for the GT Sophy AI system. This clever AI will now be active on the Village course in Alsace, upping the challenge for those who prefer to race against the computer. Yikes, AI getting smarter again!
And if you feel like taking a break from racing, you can head to a scenic spot in Scotland for some new Scapes photography opportunities. It’s a nice touch for those who enjoy the visual side of Gran Turismo 7.
