Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Anime Series Announced for 2027

There will be an anime series based on Ghost of Tsushima: Legends! Aniplex recently made this fantastic announcement, which will debut on Crunchyroll in 2027.  For those who may not know, Sucker Punch Productions created the multiplayer expansion for the original game, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. It lets players become famous warriors by putting them world modeled after feudal Japan.

If you haven’t played Legends yet, well, first of all, how? Second, you’re missing out. It’s the multiplayer expansion of Ghost of Tsushima, where you dive into a mythical version of Japan and take on missions as a legendary warrior. Trust me, it’s as epic as it sounds, feudal Japan meets folklore, and it just works.

Now, here’s the kicker: the people behind this anime are top-notch. Takanobu Mizuno, yeah, the guy who did The Duel episode for Star Wars: Visions, is directing. And Gen Urobuchi is writing the script. Oh, and Sony Music? They’re handling the soundtrack. This isn’t just a random cash grab; it feels like they’re putting serious effort into it.

Of course, it’s early days, so we don’t know much yet. What characters will they focus on? Will it tie directly into the game? Or are they going for something fresh? Whatever the case, it’s looking promising.

So, what’s your take? Are you as hyped as I am? 2027 feels far away, but for this? I’ll wait. Let’s hope they do justice to Tsushima’s legacy. What’s your wishlist for this series? Drop your thoughts, I’m all ears.
