A new gaming adventure is just around the corner for all Xbox Insiders! After the holiday break, Thunder Lotus Games invites players back for the third playtest of 33 Immortals, kicking off on January 28. This exciting period will last until February 6, offering eager gamers a chance to dive into cooperative battles with up to thirty-three players. Don’t forget – space is limited, so be ready when it opens!
If you’re unfamiliar with 33 Immortals, it places you in the shoes of a damned soul who defies divine judgment. You’ll engage in heart-pounding co-op battles, where quick matchmaking allows you and your allies to team up against waves of fiendish monsters and formidable bosses. Alongside surviving these challenges, players can expand their arsenal and equip powerful relics that provide lasting upgrades. Sounds like quite the journey.
First Time User experience:
- New cutscene has been added to welcome players to the game.
- Dialogue has been streamlined.
- New dialogue added.
- New compendium entries have been added with updated UI.
Other:
- Relics can now be rerolled in the Relic Inventory.
- Meta currencies (Eternal Shards, Paragons, Stardust) totals will now appear when collected during a run.
- Reduced the speed of a player being revived while in soul form.
- Players will now be healed for a % of HP instead of a flat number when using Bone Shrines.
- Adjusted the difficulty of Inferno Wrath of God phases to allow them to scale in difficulty in later maps.
The recent updates show how much effort Thunder Lotus is putting into refining user experience. The inclusion of new cutscenes and revamped dialogue could significantly improve immersion for first-time players. As someone who often flinches at lengthy tutorials or cumbersome introductions, I truly appreciate these thoughtful adjustments!

End: Friday, February 7, 7:00 AM PT (10:00 AM ET / 2:00 PM GMT)
How to Participate:
- On January 28, sign-in on your Xbox Series X|S console or Windows PC and launch the Xbox Insider Hub app (or install it from the Store first if necessary).
- Select > Previews > 33 Immortals.
- Select Join.
- A wait for registration completion will direct you to install 33 Immortals Beta.
