The moment we’ve all been waiting for is almost here, the Pokémon GO Unova Tour: Global is just around the corner. With so many interesting activities planned, preparation is more important than ever! Whether you’re a seasoned player or someone who’s just getting started, here’s a checklist of things you’ll want to keep in mind before the big day hits.
Which In-Game Items to Bring to Unova Tour
First and foremost, stock up on PokéBalls (Great and Ultra Balls included). You definitely don’t want to find yourself running low while trying to catch those elusive spawns. Potions and Revives can pile up quickly during raids, so it’s best to minimize them in your inventory. Focus on those balls, trust me!
If your Bag Space is constantly full, take a moment to analyze why. If you’ve been raiding like crazy, maybe you’ve accumulated too much Rare Candy. Don’t forget that Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia are excellent options for dumping excess rare candies if you’re using their Adventure Effects.
You might be surprised by how many Berries you have as well. Instead of tossing them away, feed them into gyms for some extra Stardust! Also check your inventory for evolution items, you only need a few of each type, now is the time to use or discard what you don’t need.
Make it a daily habit to open your maximum number of gifts leading up to the event. This will help build your ball reserves significantly. If you’re short on friends, consider reaching out in local communities or social media, your next gift buddy could be just one tweet away!
Pokémon GO Plus
If you’re planning on using a GO Plus, prioritize bringing plenty of Pokéballs over Great Balls since it tends to deplete them faster. Ensure your device is set up correctly, if you have the new GO Plus+, it should handle all three types of balls but only auto-catches with Pokéballs. Remember: The original GO Plus runs on batteries, so swap them out before the event kicks off!
Select Your Buddy Pokémon Wisely and Prepare
If grinding raids is part of your strategy, choose a Buddy Pokémon that has reached at least Great Buddy Level. This grants you Buddy Assist, giving you another shot at catching Pokémon after an unsuccessful throw, a handy feature when resources are limited!
Your choice between Origin Forme Palkia’s Spacial Rend or Dialga’s Roar of Time can make or break your experience at this event. Both effects have their advantages: one increases spawn rates while the other extends item duration. It seems likely that most trainers will opt for Spacial Rend given the chance for shinies! Don’t forget about stocking stardust and candy too; they’re crucial if your chosen effect requires them.
The Unova Tour features four habitats throughout its hours, each repeating once:
