GameSir has launched two new versions of its Tarantula Pro controller, giving PC and Xbox players a choice between an 8K polling rate model and an officially licensed Xbox edition. Both are available through GameSir’s online store, while Amazon and other retailers do not have stock yet.
The new controllers revisit the Tarantula Pro design with Gen-2 Mag-Res TMR sticks, clicky microswitches in the face buttons, D-pad, and trigger stops, plus a quoted lifespan of up to 5 million clicks. The symmetrical sticks are aimed at players who want precise control, although an 8K polling rate can feel highly sensitive until you adjust to it.
GameSir lists the new Tarantula Pros at $69.99 / £79.99. The company has not provided a confirmed Amazon release date. Based on the timing of previous launches, retail stock may arrive in a month or two, but that remains an estimate rather than a schedule.
What the new Tarantula Pro offers
The PC version is built around an 8,000Hz polling rate, 0.25ms latency, and a 180g frame. It also includes six-axis gyro controls for players who prefer motion aiming. The Xbox model supports PC as well, but its polling rate is limited to 1,000Hz.
Both versions are wired-only. That means the new models do not retain the wireless functionality offered by the earlier Tarantula Pro on Switch and PC.
GameSir has kept the original controller’s two rear buttons and programmable face-button functions, including a touchpad button. The redesign adds two shoulder paddles, giving players more inputs to assign.
The 8K PC version comes in a bright orange finish and has a special-edition MenaRD variant. GameSir has also confirmed an Ultra model with a heavier build and vibration motors. That version does not have a confirmed release date yet.
The new range gives PC players a lightweight, high-polling option at a midrange price, while Xbox users receive a version with official console support. The main tradeoff is the move to wired play across both models.
