A brand new patch just dropped for Dota 2, and it’s a of changes that could change many things. If you’ve been grinding those ranked matches or having fun with friends, you’ll want to buckle up because these updates are spicy! Let’s look into what’s new and how it might impact your favorite heroes.
Dota 2 December 3 Gameplay Update
Kez:
- Echo Slash: No longer applies cleave on units hit. Talk about a shift! This means positioning is going to be even more crucial now.
- Falcon Rush: Rush Range decreased from 650 to 575. Oof, that’s gonna make escaping or closing gaps a bit trickier for Kez players.
- Grappling Claw: Hero Bonus Heal reduced from 40/80/120/160 to 30/60/90/120. Less healing means you’ll have to be more careful in fights!
- Grappling Claw: Cooldown increased from 15/12/9/6 to 16/13/10/7. Can’t help but feel this one might slow down some aggressive plays.
- Talon Toss: Cooldown increased from 15/12/9/6 to 16/13/10/7. Seriously?! Another cooldown increase? It feels like they’re really trying to tone down Kez’s burst potential.
- Raven’s Veil: The applied mark no longer grants a parry bonus. That takes away some defensive capabilities-yikes!
- Talent Changes: The +50 Raptor Dance Radius talent at level 15 has been replaced with an intriguing new talent: Raven’s Veil Mark Applies Parry Bonus. This is going to change strategies around that level.
- The addition of additional HUD styling helps communicate Kez’s current stance better. It’s always nice when developers think about player experience!
- Bugs Be Gone: Fixed various issues including particle effects not increasing during Raptor Dance and Echo Slash hitting units slightly out of its range. More robust gameplay is always welcome!
- A bunch of fixes for abilities like Shodo Sai and Falcon Rush were also rolled out, Make sure cleaner interactions in combat scenarios.
This update features so many tweaks, especially for our buddy Kez, who seems to have undergone the overhaul!
