Marvel Blitz: Stark Island has landed in Fortnite’s Blitz Royale mode, swapping the familiar map for an Iron Man-themed island full of Stark locations, new weapons and flight tech. Players are already flocking to the mode because the loot pool changed, and Blitz saw a significant bump in activity.
What’s new in Marvel Blitz: Stark Island?
Blitz Royale’s map has been fully reworked to resemble a Stark version of the island that first showed up during the Nexus War event. The update turns the arena into a tight, circular map with three Iron Man-themed points of interest and a focus on aerial combat.
New POIs
The update adds three new locations players will fight over:
- Stark Academy
- Stark Cabin
- Stark Industries
Stark Industries is the biggest new hub, a futuristic tech complex that tends to draw the most traffic. Stark Academy has a handful of lore beats and tech to loot, while Stark Cabin is smaller and more low-key, meaning fewer chests and often fewer opponents.
Iron Man-themed weapons and items
Newly introduced Marvel gear changes how you approach fights. Players will start with one of two loadouts that pair a primary offensive tool with flight equipment.
- Stark Industries Energy Rifle
- Iron Man Flight Kit
- War Machine’s Arsenal
- War Machine’s Hover Jets
One loadout pairs the Stark Industries Energy Rifle with the Iron Man Flight Kit, while the other gives you War Machine’s Arsenal plus War Machine’s Hover Jets. Expect a lot of airborne skirmishes and players trying to control vertical space.
General weapons and items
Blitz loot has been shuffled. Several heisted and Lawless items joined the Silver and Golden Llamas, plus Supply Drop crates, while a handful of previously available items were removed from rotation for the run of the event.
New additions to the loot pool include the following items found in Silver Llama, Golden Llama and Supply Drop crates:
- Heisted Accelerant Shotgun
- Heisted Blink Mag SMG
- Heisted Breacher Shotgun
- Heisted Run ‘N’ Gun SMG
- Hop Rock Dualies
- Lawless Accelerant Holo Twister AR
- Lawless Blink Pump & Dump
- Lawless Explosive Mammoth Pistol
- Lawless Rift Launcher
- Lawless Trinity Assault Rifle
- Lawless Twinfire Slap Shotgun
- Shadow Tracker
Items that have been removed from Blitz for now include:
- Blitz Chain of Hades
- Double Trouble
- Eradicator Hoprock Fury Assault Rifle
- Eradicator O.X.R. Rifle
- Eradicator Marksman Wrecker Revolver
- Eradicator Shadow Precision SMG

- Megalo Don’s Nitro Fists
- Slap Juice
- Slap Splash
- Thunderbolt of Zeus
- Typhoon Blade
- Unstable Frostfire Shotgun

- Unstable Yoink Shotgun
Ringmaster Scarr’s Medallion and Saitama’s Medallion are currently out of rotation, while other medallions still spawn and are assigned randomly to players at match start.
The impact of and reaction to Marvel Blitz: Stark Island
Player activity for Blitz spiked when Stark Island went live. Fortnite.gg reported a 24-hour peak of 106,367 players on September 16, 2025, with the mode holding over 65,000 concurrent players at that snapshot. That surge shows the Iron Man theme moved a lot of attention back to Blitz.
Community opinion is split. On Reddit, some players praised the novelty while others flagged problems. Even with mixed feedback, there is enough new content for Marvel fans to enjoy a different Blitz experience, but players who dislike flying mechanics may want to skip the mode while jetpacks are common.
