Epic Games is bringing a bit of Marvel magic back to Fortnite with the promise of Fantastic Four skins arriving soon. As Marvel’s first family prepares to make their debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe through The Fantastic Four: First Steps, it seems the game will be welcoming Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing very shortly.
Leakers, including ShiinaBR, have found code strings hinting that each member of the Fantastic Four will get their own skin. Alongside these, four special cosmetics named Fantastic Fists, Fantastic Calculations, Psionic Orbs, and Torch’s Flame will be available. These will work with any skin, but will have distinct animations and styles when paired with their respective Fantastic Four characters. It’s a nice touch that might appeal to fans who like some extra flair tailored to their favorite heroes.

It’s not exactly a shocker to see the Fantastic Four coming to Fortnite, given the ongoing partnership between Marvel, Disney, and Epic Games. Actually, the Fantastic Four made a subtle appearance during Chapter 5 of Season 4 last year. Doctor Doom, their arch-nemesis, was the main villain then and had some hints involving the team. Mister Fantastic was shown trapped as a ball in Doom’s trophy room, and Doom’s throne appeared to be made out of The Thing’s rocky exterior. Kinda spooky, right?
Whether these new skins will clarify that story or simply celebrate the team’s arrival remains to be seen. Marvel’s exploration of the Multiverse might tie it all together, especially with the new movie and the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film expected next year. It’s interesting to wonder how Epic might weave these storylines into the game’s evolving world.
