In case you’ve forgotten, today’s the day when the Fortnite Live Event “The Device” takes place. Someone will be happy to see it in-game, others will be sad because of the fulfilled quota. In case you are asking why Fortnite cannot launch, that is due to the server limit, for which according to Epic Games is currently full.
Epic Games has just announced that the server’s capacity has been reached. That is probably why the game wouldn’t launch for those who failed to connect earlier. But, we have to mention that we weren’t able to start the game 35 minutes ahead of the event, which makes this Epic Games’ statement quite controversial.
Today’s event has reached capacity. If you're not already in game, we recommend catching the event via livestream.https://t.co/5sOT64tNHlhttps://t.co/Bj9pDd0e7bhttps://t.co/UY9XcqlSwi pic.twitter.com/in5exepB8U

If it makes you feel better, we’re one of those who are unavailable to witness today’s event in-game. For that reason, we’ll have to join any streaming service such as Twitch or YouTube, and observe the anomaly indirectly. Have a beautiful day!
