It’s about time we see this transition in Fortnite. Data miners have revealed a lot of files connected to a possible first-person mode in Fortnite. Fortnite never had the chance to grow into a first-person shooter, as Epic Games didn’t believe in the idea quite possible of its building core mechanics. A first-person mode would be a perfect pair now that Zero Build is available.
First-Person Mode Coming to Fortnite with Season 4
Three years ago, there was speculation about this type of mode coming to Fortnite due to a glitch that locked a player to a first-person perspective. But not this time. Over the past couple of months, the developer has been putting and editing strings related to the upcoming first-person mode in Fortnite. Thanks to HYPEX, a credible Fortnite data miner, we can finally see the first-person camera in action below:

Why is First-Person very valuable for fans?
A first-person mode has always been a highly requested feature by the fans. As we said before, combined with Zero Build, it could do wonders. If this type of feature is coming with the release of Chapter 3 Season 4, then Epic Games should be ready for a massive influx of long-forgotten players who have lost their will and stopped playing once the Fortnite builders evolved.
First-Person contributes to much fairer gameplay from the get-go. Players will no longer be able to cheese the camera view to spot enemies without becoming vulnerable, even for a tiny fragment.
Building in First-Person and Weapon Attachments
We’d guess not only Zero Build would get this as an option. I mean, imagine building in first-person. How exciting would that be? Building and editing blocks would be a lot more challenging, and doing it in a precise manner would be very difficult. For this to work, Epic Games would need to add weapon attachments, which have also been confirmed as a potential arrival.
Weapon Wraps Would Become More Valuable
So far, cosmetic items such as Weapon Wraps are not as valuable because the players don’t really see their weapons. With the release of Season 4 and the potential arrival of the first-person mode, this would make a huge difference, as Weapon Wraps would become the only item visible to the player itself, while the remaining of his accessories will be seen by other players only.
Basically said, the game in its entirety will change and provide a renovated gameplay experience for newcomers and even for veterans. Are you ready?
