Epic Games has just announced a release of a new update in Fortnite. Right before the start of the week 5 qualifier, the developers of Epic Games have managed to land a new update which aims to fix the inconsistency of the new Combat Shotgun. Will this spice up the qualifier event?
The Combat Shotgun has been around for a couple of days of Season 9, for which multiple players have already detailed its behavior. It appeared that the Combat Shotgun damage was actually based on RNG. Daequan had the same opportunity in which he found that after breaking the player’s shield, the shotgun deals very low damage. Presumably, it had an excessive RNG kick to it, which resulted in a huge DPS fluctuation.

Epic Games’ response to this issue is currently being filed and should be resolved with today’s fix. Hopefully, the issue will perish and will no longer be a problem so that players could easily rely on the Combat Shotgun’s capabilities.
The update has been announced on FortniteGame’s official Twitter profile.
We have released an update to improve cases where the Combat Shotgun was doing inconsistent damage. We will also continue to monitor and investigate this issue.

Will this resolve the current issue? The monitoring will be easier for them after today’s World Cup Qualifier Finals, in which they may determine the fidelity of the patch.
