Fortnite Pets Might Soon Follow You Around the Map

Leakers say Fortnite pets will get a new follow feature and shop availability.

Fortnite pets could be getting a fresh twist soon, and it might just make your furry sidekicks way more fun to have around. Two well-known Fortnite leakers, ShiinaBR and FNBRintel, have shared that pets will start following players throughout matches and will be sold in the item shop like kicks.

Since their debut in Season 6, pets have acted like back bling with cute interactions and reactions to the game’s events. You could pet them, and they appeared in Battle Royale, Creative, Fortnite Festival, and Save the World modes. But this new update might change their behavior by having them trail you during gameplay.

(I have no idea if old pets will be updated to the new system)

Right now, there are 18 pets in Fortnite, but it’s unclear if the update will include more or if existing pets will be upgraded to this new system. Epic Games hasn’t confirmed anything yet, so it’s best to take this info with a pinch of salt for now.

What do you think about pets following you around on the map? Would that make your Fortnite experience more fun or just distracting? Drop your thoughts below and join the chat in the comments!
