Fortnite Crew Expands Offerings with New Passes

The ever-evolving landscape of Fortnite is set to witness Major changes as Epic Games expands the features of its Fortnite Crew subscription. Launching on December 1, the service will now encompass all battle passes, introducing both a Music Pass and a Lego Pass at no extra cost. This update promises more value for subscribers but also raises questions about pricing adjustments in the game.

New Additions to Fortnite Crew

Epic has confirmed that its Fortnite Crew, which started in December 2020 at $11.99 monthly, will soon offer a broader array of benefits. Currently, the subscription includes the Battle Royale battle pass, 1,000 V-bucks, exclusive outfits, and a Premium Rocket Pass for the Rocket League. With the upcoming update, players will receive access to the new Music Pass, replacing the Festival Pass and a Lego Pass.

This expansion comes alongside an increase in the Battle Royale battle pass price from 950 to 1,000 V-Bucks starting December 1. However, Epic assures players that “the real money price of V-Bucks will remain unchanged,” allowing them to earn currency through gameplay still.

Simplified Progression Systems

Epic’s decision to simplify progression systems across various Fortnite experiences is an important aspect of this update. Effective December 1, XP earned from any mode, including Battle Royale and Lego Fortnite, will simultaneously contribute towards all passes. This change aims to streamline player experience but could also dilute individual pass significance.

The Return of Fortnite OG

Fortnite OG will permanently re-enter the game on December 6. This nostalgic feature invites players back to relive classic seasons and explore familiar maps laden with original loot, a promising move for long-time fans seeking familiarity amidst constant updates.
