Foggy Missions Pay More in Hunt: Showdown 1896’s New Event

Hunters will face more fog and other low-visibility conditions while earning 100% more Hunt Dollars in Missions.

Hunt: Showdown 1896 has introduced the Fog of War Community Event, bringing heavier fog and other low-visibility conditions to Missions. The payoff is a major boost to the in-game economy, with Hunters earning 100% more Hunt Dollars during Missions.

The event is part of Road to Hell Chapter 3 and arrives alongside the influence of Desolation’s Delegate. Crytek detailed the event in its Steam announcement, framing the worsening visibility as another danger for Hunters to manage while chasing better rewards.

Fog of War increases the frequency of foggy weather and other conditions that make it harder to spot enemies, read the surrounding terrain, and prepare for an ambush. Every Mission affected by the event also pays out twice the usual Hunt Dollars, giving successful extractions a much bigger return.

The event adds another layer of pressure to matches. Hunters may have less information at a distance, but the increased payout gives them a reason to take the risk and keep pushing through the haze.
