Flamecraft Brings Its Cozy Dragon Town to PS5 Later This Year

A free demo is available on PlayStation Store with local multiplayer for up to five players, bot matches, and a narrated tutorial.

Flamecraft will arrive on PlayStation 5 later in 2026, and Monster Couch has made a demo available today through PlayStation Store. The demo offers an early look at the game’s cheerful town, its tiny dragons, and the strategy systems built around its magical shops, as confirmed in the PlayStation Blog announcement.

The demo includes several shops, Artisan Dragons, and Fancy Dragons. Players can practice against bot opponents across three difficulty levels, or bring together as many as five players for local multiplayer on one console. A tutorial introduces the basics of playing as a Flamekeeper.

A town powered by dragons

Flamecraft is a cozy, turn-based strategy game set in a magical shopping district. As a Flamekeeper, you place Artisan Dragons in shops where they can help produce resources and bring each location to life. Every dragon and shop becomes part of a shared engine, so the choices made by one player can also create opportunities for their opponents.

Each turn gives you a choice between visiting a shop to collect resources or enchanting it with a magical artifact. Enchanting activates every dragon working there, letting their abilities combine into stronger effects. Fancy Dragons add their own powers and scoring opportunities, while Reputation determines who is on track to become the Master of Flamecraft.

Matches can take different paths. Some players may focus on chaining enchantments, while others may build around Fancy Dragons or the many Artisan Dragons and shops available during a game. The setup changes from match to match, giving the town a new puzzle to solve each time.

Solo, local, and online play

Flamecraft will support solo play, local multiplayer, bot opponents, and online games. Solo Mode includes achievements that unlock pieces of an original story about the dragons and townsfolk working toward a shared dream: building a lighthouse to guide Artisan Dragons from distant lands to a new home.

Local games can include friends, family, and bot opponents for up to five players. Online players will be able to choose Short Matchmaking, Long Matchmaking, or Custom Online Games.

The full game will also include a narrated interactive tutorial voiced by Becca Scott, known for her work with Good Time Society. Completing the tutorial comes with a small reward, giving new Flamekeepers a friendly first step into the game’s systems.

Flamecraft’s PS5 release is planned for later in 2026, while the demo is available now. Share your thoughts on the demo and its dragon-filled town in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
