Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicle is coming to PC on September 30, 2025, offering fans a chance to revisit or discover this classic strategy RPG on a current platform. The release includes Enhanced and Classic versions, catering to different player preferences.

The enhanced version provides updated graphics, voice acting, and a refreshed menu to make gameplay smoother. The Classic version retains the original game’s look and feel but adds the popular “War of the Lions” story translation and convenient features like auto-save. It’s a nice touch for those who want that nostalgic vibe but with some current comforts.

Players will lead their team through tactical battles where positioning and turn order matter a lot. The 3D battlefield lets you take advantage of terrain, and there’s a wide range of jobs—over 20, including familiar favorites like white mage, black mage, and dragoon. Characters can unlock and keep abilities even if they change jobs, allowing for some interesting strategy combinations. You can even tame Chocobos and other creatures to join your fights.

One detail worth noting is the inclusion of Denuvo anti-tamper technology. Square Enix has used it in many titles, so this isn’t unexpected. The good news is that they usually remove it after about five to six months, which might please those wary of DRM.

Here’s the announcement trailer to get a feel for the game:

Are you excited to revisit Ivalice in this remaster? Which version do you think you’ll try first? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. I’m Margarita. I love you all, and have a great day!
