Earlier today, Square Enix announced a new Final Fantasy 14 in-game event that made players believe a possible action coming in sooner than later. Based on the event itself, players have already started circling the thought that update 6.2 might be coming on August 23. The new event is a new Moogle Treasure Trove, which is known for its history as it is not the first time coming to the game.
Moogle Treasure Trove is a periodic in-game event that is usually followed by new content that launches approximately four weeks after its beginning. Based on this occurrence, players believe that August 23 is the best date for receiving the long-awaited update candidate.
Once the event was shared on the official Final Fantasy 14 Subreddit, players have rushed to calculate and predict the landing date for update 6.2. One of them said the following:
August 23rd is the date I speculated for 6.2 since as far as I know, they haven’t added the rewards of The Rising event to the game yet, and the event starts on the 27th, so they have to add the rewards on the 23rd since it’s the only date that can be considered late August that takes place before the event.
