This February has been quite eventful in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. With the release of the latest updates, players have much to look forward to. While we await the arrival of Patch 7, let’s take a moment to reflect on what we’ve experienced this month and where things are headed.

FEBRUARY RECAP

This month’s standout feature was undoubtedly the launch of the 6.0 Datavault Update, which introduced a variety of free and Season Pass content. You can check out the full changelog here for those interested in all the nitty-gritty details.

The most notable additions included:

  • The Datavault featuring new cosmetic rewards.
  • The introduction of the Biovore.
  • A brand-new PvP map titled “Tomb.”
  • The Salamanders Champion Pack.
  • A Raven Guard Cosmetic Pack that also includes its Successor Chapters.
  • An FOV Slider for better gameplay comfort.
  • A rework of game perks.

Following this update, a 6.1 Hotfix was rolled out to address lingering bugs and connectivity issues. You can find those patch notes here. Although these updates have made strides in improving gameplay, some players are still experiencing:

  • FPS drops during intense moments.
  • An overwhelming number of spore mines appear simultaneously.

The development team is aware and actively working on solutions. Hotfix 6.2, which will tackle these spore mine issues along with some balancing tweaks, is expected next week!

IMPERIAL VIGIL COMMUNITY EVENT

Your voices have been heard! To address community requests for an emblem-less Mk VIII Errant Helmet, there’s an exciting opportunity coming your way! This cosmetic item will be available for free, just link your PROS account to Space Marine 2.

You’ll need to achieve victories with each of the six classes in Operations Mode by March 3rd to claim your helmet!

WHAT’S COMING…

7.0 Update

  • A Chapter Pack and Champion Pack will be added.
  • The introduction of Private PvP lobbies!
  • A new weapon exclusive to PvE play initially.
  • A fresh Operation designed for thrilling gameplay experiences.
  • A rebalance on weapon perks as well as reworked class weapon loadouts.
    • PvE Prestige Rank system allowing unique perks after reaching level 25 on any class—with special cosmetics tied to each class’ iconic armor parts!
  • & more surprises ahead!

Beeing Eager for Horde Mode?

PUBLIC TEST SERVER ON THE WAY!

Please note: This initiative will exclusively run on Steam. There are no consoles or Epic Games Store involved, and installation should be easy since it operates as a separate game.

We understand how intense Absolute difficulty can feel, it demands focus due to its challenging enemy encounters, but we’ve also received feedback suggesting it might be too easy at times. Here’s where things get interesting: data shows an average win rate around ~60%, notably higher than Lethal difficulty’s ~50%.
