This February has been quite eventful in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. With the release of the latest updates, players have much to look forward to. While we await the arrival of Patch 7, let’s take a moment to reflect on what we’ve experienced this month and where things are headed.
FEBRUARY RECAP
This month’s standout feature was undoubtedly the launch of the 6.0 Datavault Update, which introduced a variety of free and Season Pass content. You can check out the full changelog here for those interested in all the nitty-gritty details.
The most notable additions included:
- The Datavault featuring new cosmetic rewards.
- The introduction of the Biovore.
- A brand-new PvP map titled “Tomb.”
- The Salamanders Champion Pack.
- A Raven Guard Cosmetic Pack that also includes its Successor Chapters.
- An FOV Slider for better gameplay comfort.
- A rework of game perks.
Following this update, a 6.1 Hotfix was rolled out to address lingering bugs and connectivity issues. You can find those patch notes here. Although these updates have made strides in improving gameplay, some players are still experiencing:
- FPS drops during intense moments.
- An overwhelming number of spore mines appear simultaneously.
The development team is aware and actively working on solutions. Hotfix 6.2, which will tackle these spore mine issues along with some balancing tweaks, is expected next week!
