Farthest Frontier will leave early access and launch as version 1.0 on October 23, developer Crate Entertainment confirmed. The game’s price will rise from $30 to $35 at launch, but a 25% sale runs until October 6, so you can still grab it at about $22.50.
If you’ve been curious, this is a survival city builder with surprisingly deep systems, including crop rotation and soil fertility, harsh seasonal winters, and a long list of diseases such as dysentery, scurvy, typhoid, cholera, frostbite, rabies, and even the plague. There’s even a bizarre moment where a bee empire gone wrong can go horribly wrong.
The 1.0 launch introduces several additions and tweaks designed to expand progression and options for players. Crate says the update includes a larger tech tree, new buildings, bridges, updated animations, and a new policy system that gives more granular control over villagers’ lives while introducing trade-offs.
Patch Notes – Farthest Frontier – 1.0

Crate Entertainment also makes ARPG Grim Dawn, which is currently heavily discounted on Steam. Interested players have a limited opportunity to purchase Farthest Frontier at the lower early access price before its October 23 launch.
