October 7th, 2021, is when the Far Cry franchise will expand with Far Cry 6. Now that we have seen the official gameplay reveal trailer, we can confirm that it will be a fiery experience. We’ll take the place of a new protagonist named Dani Rojas, also known as Danny. For the first time in the series, players will pick a gender, which makes it distinct and unique compared to previous versions.
Apparently, Far Cry 6 serves to bring players closer to Far Cry Primal, one of the most beloved series in the franchise. One of the kickass elements is that Danny has developed a new jetpack that has both defensive and offensive properties. The idea behind it comes from comics, just as the inspiration grabbed behind the Supremos backpack, which will be the player’s choice.
To its potential… it makes things go kaboom when you’re in danger. The Supremos backpacks are secret weapons that are inspired by the classic superheroes of Yara’s comic book. Knowing Yara is on the verge of collapse and Anton Castillo, The Dictator is a ruthless opposition, these types of weapons will be needed to re-establish peace.
One of the most exciting features is the improvised weaponry in Far Cry 6. Players won’t need to fully respec their character like in the previous Far Cry series. Instead, they will have the opportunity to choose from loadouts based on items found in the world, or craft their own designated items, as they fully replace the perk system. Once an item is in the player’s inventory, players can change the play style and approach, simple as that.
Liberating Yara will be a huge challenge for each player, as its importance is humongous compared to the previous Far Cry titles, even if it follows the same path as the previous series by having one villain who’s determined to unleash hellfire upon the country.
Far Cry 6 was delayed numerous times, as the whole world was under siege of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that things are turning better, Far Cry 6 has finally received an official launch date for October 7th, 2021. The game will launch on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
