If you were thinking about stepping outside your vault in Fallout 76 on July 22, you might want to hold off for a bit. Bethesda is scheduling maintenance downtime to apply a minor update focused on fixing bugs rather than introducing new features. This is the kind of update that quietly enhances your gameplay experience without making significant changes.
Fallout 76 Servers Down on July 22 for Maintenance
According to Bethesda’s announcement, the servers will go offline starting at 10:00 a.m. ET / 9:00 a.m. CT / 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 p.m. HKT. Although the exact duration isn’t confirmed, past maintenance sessions usually last about 3 to 4 hours, so you can expect a similar timeframe this time around.
Details on which bugs will be addressed remain under wraps for now. Bethesda confirmed via their official support channel that this update focuses solely on bug fixes. Given that the big Season 21: Gone Fission update just dropped last month, this patch isn’t going to bring any major changes or new content.
Hello! Just a normal update focused on bug fixes.

Meanwhile, Bethesda is testing the next major update on the Private Test Network (PTS). The upcoming update will bring quality-of-life improvements and balance adjustments, but it does not yet have a release date. Bethesda has already shared patch notes for it, so players have a glimpse of what to expect when it eventually arrives.
Once the July 22 patch is live, we’ll post the full details here. If there are any changes to the downtime schedule or if it runs longer, we’ll update this article to keep you informed.
