F1 25 just got a small but notable update with patch v1.08. It adds the slick McLaren x Google Chrome livery and tackles some PC performance hiccups that popped up after the last patch. Not a huge overhaul, but if you’re racing on PC, this one’s worth grabbing.
Patch v1.08 started rolling out at 10 a.m. UTC on Monday, July 28. Make sure your system is online to get the update.
v1.08 Patch Notes
- Added support for the McLaren x Google Chrome Livery (available from July 30 to September 16)
- Performance improvements for PC players addressing issues introduced in patch v1.07
For those who like to keep tabs on what the developers are tinkering with, the EA Forums remain the best spot. You can find the Community-Raised Issues thread updated regularly between patches. It’s a good way to see what bugs are being looked at and what might be coming next.
If you’re running into bugs yourself, don’t just stew in silence. The Technical Issues & Bug Reports page on the EA Forums is where you want to log them. The team is pretty responsive there, and they’ve even got a guide on how to report bugs if you want to do it right.
Also, if you’re setting up F1 25 on PC and having trouble, there are support guides for everything from basic troubleshooting to VR and triple-screen setups. You can find these in the F1 Game Info Hub.
So, McLaren fans get to flaunt their new livery for the next month and a half, and PC players should see smoother gameplay. Who doesn’t want that? Yikes, performance issues after an update are always a pain, but at least they’re fixing it quickly.
