The next Escape from Tarkov PvP wipe is pointing to December 2026. An in-game countdown connected to the KORD BREACH seasonal content provides the clearest current timing, although it does not identify a specific day.
The active wipe began with the game’s 1.0 launch on November 15, 2025, and it was still ongoing as of August 8, 2026. Tarkov’s reset system has changed since that launch, with PvP wipes now tied to a seasonal structure rather than arriving only as occasional standalone resets.

December 2026 is the current wipe window
A Tarkov wipe resets PvP progression back to the starting line. Players return to level one, lose their accumulated money and gear, and have to rebuild their stash, hideout, trader progress, and early-game task progress.
That reset gives the PvP side a new race for equipment and progression. It also creates room for fresh seasonal content, rewards, and changes to the way players approach raids. The new model is built around recurring seasons, with wipes connected to those seasonal transitions.
For now, December 2026 is the month players should watch. The KORD BREACH countdown points to that window, but Battlestate Games has not provided a more precise wipe date in the available information.
What happens to PvE characters?
PvE does not follow the same forced reset schedule. Since Battlestate Games expanded Tarkov’s PvE offering in 2024, players have been able to keep using the same character instead of being pushed into every wipe.
Players who want a fresh start in PvE can trigger a manual wipe themselves. Otherwise, their character, stash, money, equipment, tasks, and hideout remain available while the PvP side moves through its seasonal resets.

- Several loot airdrops arriving at the same time
