Have you ever had that moment when you step into a new game area, and instead of fresh foes, you’re greeted by your chaos? Escape from Tarkov players were living that nightmare thanks to a bug causing raids to kick off with enemy players right at the transition. You know, just another day in Tarkov where survival is already a tightrope walk. Thankfully, with their latest update, Battlestate Games has swooped in for a rescue mission!
The most crucial fix here is for the pesky ‘transition’ bug, which made hopping between maps feel more like jumping into an ambush. BSG temporarily shut down this feature while they worked on it because, let’s face it, nobody wants to spawn in and immediately start dodging bullets.
The ability to shift between maps without a hitch was introduced not too long ago, a fantastic addition for keeping the action rolling. But after the last wipe, things went haywire. Players would load into a raid only to find themselves sharing space with enemies as if they were all part of some twisted reunion party.
You could almost hear the collective groans echoing through voice chat as everyone scrambled for cover. After realizing how chaotic this was, BSG hit pause on transitions until they could sort out the mess.
A recent social media post confirmed that they’ve rolled out fixes addressing this, along with several other issues:
- Fixed all known issues where players transitioning between locations could enter a raid with players outside their group
Here are additional tweaks from this update:
- Fixed an issue where the player has been teleporting in place without being able to move in any direction on various locations;
- Fixed all known issues where players transitioning between locations could enter a raid with players outside their group;
- Fixed an issue where kills from Aklys Defence Velociraptor .300 Blackout did not count towards progress of Punisher. Part 2 quest;
- Reduced the sales limit for 7.62x51mm BCP FMJ rounds to 100 (120 for owners of The Unheard Edition) per restock;
- Harris “S-BRM 6-9” bipods moved to Skier LL2;
- BT10 V8 Atlas Bipods moved to Mechanic LL2;
- NVG-57E night vision device added to Prapor LL1;
- Adjusted spawn rates for barter items in the pockets on Scavs and player Scavs;
- Adjusted spawn rates and conditions for armor and armored rigs on Scavs and player Scavs;
- Adjusted spawn rates for ammunition on player Scavs;
- Adjusted spawn rates for backpacks on Scavs.
We have installed a technical update for #EscapefromTarkov.
The game will not stop, but on updated servers, raid time may be reduced to 10 minutes. During the update, raid matchmaking time may increase.

Patching these issues swiftly seems tied to Battlestate’s Unity engine upgrade during last week’s global reset event. It looks like they’ve been working around the clock since then!
