It seems that Battlestate Games is toying with players nowadays. After the numerous events to spice up the game entertainment, the developers have done something unpredictable. Even if most of the players are currently struggling to benefit and earn some in-game money due to the massively reshaped economy, Battlestate Games has decided to nerf the bitcoin farm and delay the mining time.
Once I logged in Escape From Tarkov, I noticed that the Bitcoin farm needed 80 hours to produce one physical bitcoin with 16% past the initial mining segment. According to my calculations, mining one physical Bitcoin would be around 88 hours. Isn’t that a lot? I feel like we’re about to start seeing Mosins running around like it’s a fresh wipe.
I have also checked the current price of Bitcoin, and at the time of this writing, it is around 217,000 Roubles. What does this mean? Does this mean the developer is not planning a wipe? Maybe they only want to balance the economy and take away from the wealthy people in Tarkov? Or maybe BSG plans to increase the selling price? We’ll have to wait and see.
Mechanic, tech trader in Escape From Tarkov has notified players about an arrival of a new cryptocurrency named TarbankCoin. He says that Bitcoin mining is a lot harder now due to the computing power needed. That’s why everyone’s switching to the new crypto. Furthermore, he asks for players to bring him GPUs by any means necessary as his old ones are wasted.
Recently, Nvidia added Nvidia Reflex support with its latest GPU driver. The feature itself, however, is not available in the game at this present time. Therefore, I still believe the wipe will introduce us to that particular feature once deployed.
