Battlestate Games has announced plans to modify the rain volume in Escape from Tarkov, following feedback from a recent survey indicating that over 66% of players find the sound of heavy rain disruptive. This adjustment aims to improve the overall experience during raids, where excessive noise can detract from gameplay.
The survey also gathered insights on various weather-related features within the game. Players expressed their opinions on issues ranging from fog intensity to seasonal changes in PvE settings. Notably, 40% reported dissatisfaction with fog conditions, while 53% showed interest in introducing extreme weather scenarios and having control over seasonal variations during raids.
Quality of Life Changes
The results revealed some intriguing statistics:
- 40% of players are irritated by fog, but only 7% dislike clear weather.
- 53% want to see extreme weather implemented.
- 53% desire options for selecting seasons in PvE raids.
- A minority (12%) prefer no changes in weather during raids.
This is not the first time Battlestate Games has taken community feedback into account; previous surveys led to numerous adjustments regarding AI behavior and engagement tactics. This upcoming change reflects ongoing efforts to refine gameplay based on player input.
