Battlestate Games has announced an extra-challenging wipe, dubbed the Hardcore Wipe, and promised more information “soon.” For now, they’ve revealed the first rule-set tweaks:
Change | What it means |
---|---|
Flea Market Disabled | No player-to-player trading; every item must be looted, crafted, or bought from traders. |
Higher Hideout Requirements | Upgrading stations will demand extra materials, slowing early progress. |
No “Found in Raid” Limitation for Hideout | Any item counts toward hideout upgrades, easing one bottleneck. |
Limited Ammo Crafts | Only select ammunition recipes will be available. |
Reduced Rare-Loot Spawns | High-tier gear becomes even scarcer, making every gunfight riskier. |
Battlestate hints that this is “Part 1” of the wipe reveal, so expect further modifiers, possibly to quests, insurance, and scav karma, in the coming days.
22 % Off The Unheard Edition
To sweeten the wait, the studio is running a limited-time 22 % discount on The Unheard Edition, EFT’s top-tier package that includes:
- An expanded stash (20 × 72 cells)
- Unique secure container and weapons case
- Priority queue access and future DLC
- Exclusive armband, melee weapon, and cosmetic items
Heads-up: if you already own Edge of Darkness, your permanent 50 % upgrade discount doesn’t stack with this promo. Choose whichever deal saves you more.
Why It Matters
A Hardcore Wipe flips Tarkov’s economy on its head. With the Flea Market gone and loot throttled, PMCs must rethink every raid: barter more, craft smarter, and pick fights only when the payoff is worth the risk. Meanwhile, newcomers who want the “full kit” experience now have a cheaper path to The Unheard.
We’ll cover every ruleset detail the moment Battlestate drops Part 2. Stay frosty, and keep an eye on your rubles.
