Escape From Tarkov removes “FIR” requirement and reduces Intertia

After the controversy around Battlestate Games’ release of the Unheard edition and the PvE version of the game, the players have been demanding changes. Today, the developer of Escape From Tarkov has decided to make tons of major tweaks, including the removal of the Found in Raid status, which has been a requirement for placing offers on the FLEA Market.

Alongside this, the developer has also decided to somewhat “remove” the Inertia by reducing the base inertia strength and overweight limit. Furthermore, the developer increased the stamina capacity by 15%. As for the character progression and skill power-up, all GYM exercises should provide more skill points.

The developer has also increased the number of AI scavs on Interchange and adjusted the number of slots on the FLEA Market for all reputation levels. Starting today, we’re about to see the FLEA market much more active, as items are going to be flipped around. What’s even more exciting is that now the Marked Rooms will also provide much more valuable loot than before, and LABS no longer requires a keycard.

This is supposed to be an event by Battlestate Games, which will provide further info based on the player feedback. If successful, these changes are likely to remain permanent.

You can find the changes below:

Escape From Tarkov Changes for May 12, 2024

  • Removed the “Found in Raid” requirement for placing offers on the Flea Market for PvP and PvE modes.
  • Adjusted loot balancing on all locations except Streets of Tarkov.
  • Increased the chance of rare loot spawning in locked rooms.
  • Reduced base inertia strength by 20%.
  • Increased overweight limit by 15%.
  • Increased base stamina capacity by 15%.
  • Successfully executed Gym QTEs now give more skill points.
  • Increased the number of AI Scav spawns on Interchange.
  • Adjusted the number of slots on the Flea Market for all reputation levels.
  • Added 9x19mm PBP gzh for sale at Prapor LL4.
  • Increased the selling value of PMC dogtags.
  • Removed the requirement of TerraGroup Labs access keycard to enter The Lab.
