Escape From Tarkov Patch 0.12.7259 Deployed

Battlestate Games’ Escape From Tarkov is still on the rise. As such, it requires developer attention, for which numerous bug fixes were deployed over the past period. As we dive deep into the game after a wipe, Escape From Tarkov has always been noticing game freezes and stutters, which inquires a higher developer awareness and reaction.

For that reason, Battlestate Games developed a brand new patch that is leaning towards fixing performance and game freezes, which, according to BSG, was caused due to bugs. While we understand that a game of this caliber is supposed to suffer from bugs, we are not sure if BSG can fix them in a timely fashion so that the game finally comes out of its current state.

Today’s patch is 0.12.5.7295, which doesn’t contain a lengthy list of changes. Instead, the patch limits the view of thermal scopes, and as we said, fixes bugs that affect game performance and freezes. Below you can find the patch notes as addressed by BSG:

  • Limitations of view in the thermal imaging scopes
  • Various bugs that could affect the performance of the game and freezes

Will BSG get to the end of this? Leaving BETA would be a great cause, but it seems like that trigger is way too distant from the present. Undoubtedly, the game can be entitled as the most realistic tactical shooter, but less likely optimized for this gruesome genre.

Hopefully, BSG will find a great balance between developing content and addressing game issues, but given their team size, the game already secures a top spot among the other titles in the same genre.
