We have received another confirmation of DLSS coming to Escape From Tarkov, even though it was somewhat known. Escape From Tarkov is about to join the RTX family, as coming to Escape From Tarkov, as it has been revealed by Nvidia Today. The new DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) Trailer showcases FPS of above 130 on bigger maps such as Shoreline in 4K resolution, which is exciting news for the whole community.
Nvidia’s effort in bringing more games to its RTX family doesn’t stop here, as it aims to get a lot of games added throughout this year. Among the other games confirmed to join the family are The Day Before, Rainbow Six Extraction, and Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
Nvidia’s DLSS feature is not as competitive as we all know it. Simply said, it’s rarely used in competitive games as it adds extra blur due to the rendering technique, which renders frames at a lower resolution. Nevertheless, it’s a rendering technique that resembles other anti-aliasing techniques like TAA, for example. As we all know, TAA is heavily used by players in Escape From Tarkov as it provides solid frames at the cost of blurry vision.
So, knowing Escape From Tarkov’s FPS issues, this might be the first game where DLSS comes in as a massive relief to the developers and players, no matter if it adds extra blur to the image itself and puts the players at a disadvantage. If anything, the DLSS option will probably arrive with the next major update and wipe, which is what happened with Nvidia Reflex.
“NVIDIA RTX momentum continues to build as ray tracing and AI are defining the next generation of content. Since the last CES, we have added over 150 RTX games and applications, and gamers have logged over 1 billion hours of play time. The top games this past year include Call of Duty: Warzone, Rainbow Six Siege, DOOM Eternal, Back 4 Blood, and Deathloop. We are excited to expand the roster of RTX games this year as well – bringing these technologies to games like The Day Before, Rainbow Six Extraction, Escape from Tarkov, and Dying Light 2 Stay Human.”
