Escape From Tarkov July 15 update fixes the “stutters when shooting other players”

It was about time for Battlestate Games to do something with one of the most annoying bugs ever seen in Escape From Tarkov. The developer has released a new update that gets rid of the weird stutters caused by shooting other players. While everyone believed it was a skill issue, it turned out to be caused by a large number of active quests. Usually, high-level players that have opened and accepted plenty of quests have been dealing with this issue for the past couple of weeks.

While the deployment of this update is ongoing, the servers won’t be stopped. Instead, active raids will be reduced to 10 minutes. This means players who are already in a raid will extract from literally anywhere on the map once the remaining time reaches zero. So there’s no room for panic at all.

Furthermore, this update tends to fix an issue with incorrect calculation of armor picked up from a killed player, and mends the player teleportation while moving on staircases. Check the changelog below for the complete patch notes, as posted by Escape From Tarkov’s official Twitter profile.

Escape From Tarkov July 15 changelog

  • Fixed possible freezes while shooting if players have a large number of active quests
  • Fixed an issue with incorrect calculation of armor picked up from a killed player
  • Fixed an issue leading to player teleportation while moving up and down the stairs in some cases
  • Improved the behavior of Rogue bosses when fighting near and inside buildings.

If there are any additional patch notes or changes beside the official ones, we’ll post them ASAP.
