Escape from Tarkov is moving some Lighthouse spawns north
Battlestate Games said the changes are experimental, with shoreline spawns staying in place for now and more tweaks tied to player feedback.

Battlestate Games has started testing a new set of Lighthouse spawn points in Escape from Tarkov, after players spotted PMCs appearing north of the map near the water treatment plant.
The change is experimental. In a new blog post, the studio said it is watching feedback closely and will keep adjusting the setup as needed. Lighthouse remains one of Tarkov’s tougher maps because of the Rogues, who can control wide stretches of ground with mounted weapons and long sightlines.

Battlestate also said shoreline spawn points will stay in place for now because they are still needed on the map. The layout itself is not being rebuilt either, since the team wants to focus on optimization and upcoming events instead of a full overhaul of the location.
What did change is where some PMCs can appear. Battlestate said players can now spawn north of Lighthouse, near the train yard and above the water treatment plant, while other spawn points have been adjusted to keep the south side less crowded.
Player feedback has already moved beyond spawn points alone. Comments around the post pointed to Lighthouse’s base design, quest areas, loot placement, and extraction points as the bigger issues, so this testing phase may be only the first step.
