Escape From Tarkov “Hobby Club” Quest Guide

Craft the stripped rifle, recover two quest items, and stash all four AK-50 parts on Customs.

Hobby Club is a level 45 Mechanic quest built around delivering four AK-50 parts to Customs. You need a stripped rifle body, a Fair Price handguard, and two quest items found on Reserve and Customs.

Requirements and objectives

You must be level 45 to start the quest. Mechanic gives Hobby Club.

  • Locate and obtain the AK-50 barrel on Reserve.
  • Optional Locate Glukhar’s workshop on Reserve.
  • Locate and obtain the AK-50 dust cover at a security checkpoint.
  • Optional Locate the checkpoint with seized cargo.
  • Stash the AK-50 body at the specified spot on Customs.
  • Optional Build the AK-50 body.
  • Stash the AK-50 handguard, barrel, and dust cover at the specified spot on Customs.

The four required stash items are the body, handguard, barrel, and dust cover. The build objective is marked optional, but you still need to craft the body.

Items to prepare

Item Amount Requirement
Stripped TheAKGuy AK-50 .50 BMG anti-materiel rifle 1 Craft at Workbench level 3 in the Hideout. No found-in-raid requirement is listed.
AK-50 handguard with gas block 1 Found in raid. Listed as obtained through Fair Price – Part 2. The Fair Price questline becomes available after accepting Hobby Club.
AK-50 barrel 1 Found in raid and available only while Hobby Club is active.
AK-50 dust cover 1 Found in raid and available only while Hobby Club is active.

Picking up the barrel or dust cover transfers it to your quest-item inventory. If you fail to extract carrying either item, you lose it.

How to complete Hobby Club

Hobby Club location map showing the Customs checkpoint tower and hill cabin plus Reserve K6 and K4 warehouses
On Customs, collect the dust cover from the military-checkpoint tower second floor and stash the parts in the hill cabin blue locker. On Reserve, the barrel has three possible workbench spawns across K6 and K4.

Find the barrel on Reserve

Search storage buildings marked with a K, specifically buildings #6 and #4. The listed barrel locations are a table with a lamp and bench drill in building #6, and two spots in building #4: a bench vice on a table with a red helmet, or a desk with a bench grinder next to the sink.

Find the dust cover on Customs

Go to the military checkpoint tower. The dust cover is on an armchair on the second floor.

Prepare and stash the four items

Craft the stripped AK-50 at Workbench level 3 and obtain the found-in-raid handguard through Fair Price – Part 2. Once you have the body, handguard, barrel, and dust cover, take them to the cabin on the hill southwest of the new gas station on Customs. Stash all four in the blue locker inside the cabin.
