Escape From Tarkov Arena February 25 Patch Notes Revealed

Game Engine updated to Unity 2022, and tons of other changes are coming through.

Battlestate Games announced yesterday that a new EFT Arena update is coming. The day has come, and now we have the patch notes revealed. However, this update will take a long time to complete. For a 6-hour window, I know what you’re probably thinking… It better be full of good changes. Luckily, the developer has revealed the patch notes so you can judge yourself. You can find them below:

Escape From Tarkov Arena February 25 Update

Changes

  • Updated the game engine version to Unity 2022;
  • Updated Meta XR Audio to version 71.0.0;
  • Implemented the dynamic variation of the movement sound hearing radius, depending on the movement speed and type;
  • Improved the attenuation curves and sound filtering depending on the source’s vertical positioning;
  • Removed the option to select binaural audio in the game settings;
  • Reduced the announcer voice volume;
  • Reduced the first-person bullet damage volume;
  • Adjusted the blast damage and radius of the V40 grenade:
    • Blast damage can now kill a player if their head is up to 2.5 meters away from the grenade’s explosion point.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the sounds of players would become muffled or inaudible after a new round;
  • Fixed the missing head back protection on the NFM HJELM helmet.

Note: if the new items require completing daily or weekly tasks, the counter for them will start from zero.

  • Added new attachments as leveling rewards for:
    • Kalashnikov AK-101 5.56×45 assault rifle;
    • Kalashnikov AK-102 5.56×45 assault rifle;
    • Kalashnikov AK-103 7.62×39 assault rifle;
    • Kalashnikov AK-104 7.62×39 assault rifle;
    • Kalashnikov AK-105 5.45×39 assault rifle;
    • Kalashnikov AK-74M 5.45×39 assault rifle;
    • Kalashnikov AK-12 5.45×39 assault rifle;
    • RPK-16 5.45×39 light machine gun;
    • Saiga-12K ver.10 12ga semi-automatic shotgun;
    • SIG MPX 9×19 submachine gun;
    • IWI UZI 9×19 submachine gun;
    • Saiga-9 9×19 carbine;
    • PP-19-01 Vityaz 9×19 submachine gun;
    • Accuracy International AXMC .338 LM bolt-action sniper rifle;
    • Beretta M9A3 9×19 pistol.
  • Removed the 15-round magazine from AVT-40 level 2 reward, as it is unlocked earlier with SVT-40;
  • Moved the Zenit B-3 mount reward to VSK-94/9A-91 level 3. If you have already unlocked this mount, it will remain unlocked;
  • Removed the 20x1mm disk from Armory as there is no suitable weapon for it.
