Escape From Tarkov‘s Hardcore Wipe continues to evolve, and today’s micro-patch brings more fine-tuning to the game’s repair economy, this time aimed at Skier, Mechanic, and specific item types across the board.
As part of a new balancing change, Battlestate Games has tweaked the repair costs for various items, subtly reworking how much you’re paying, so it doesn’t matter if you go by with scuffed vests or hanging on to a battered AK Expect some noticeable differences in how far your rubles stretch.
But more specifically, the devs have targeted Skier and Mechanic’s repair services. Both traders have had their repair pricing rebalanced. Though Battlestate hasn’t released exact numbers, early player feedback suggests some weapon types are now slightly more affordable under Mechanic. In contrast, armor repairs with Skier might cost a bit extra depending on condition and tier.
While this may seem like a small patch, it’s part of the ongoing push to keep the Hardcore Wipe feeling brutal but fair. Battlestate’s goal seems clear: make repair decisions more meaningful, especially for players leaning into trader loyalty or those hoarding rubles for post-raid survival rather than luxury upgrades.
It’s another nudge toward strategic stash management, and one more reason to think twice before mindlessly spamming “Repair All” after a raid.
