What seemed to be an ordinary Fortnite update cycle, has turned into a huge surprise. After three years of existence, Epic Games’ third-person shooter and tower defense survival game, Save The World, is leaving Early Access. Shortly after the announcement, #SaveTheWorld has become trending on Twitter, and it’s currently holding the third spot on a global level. The development of Save The World will continue, as Epic Games announced new features and changes.
However, Save The World, as many believed following its propaganda, isn’t going to be free-to-play. Instead, it will sustain its premium experience.
Today we’re bringing Save the World out of Early Access and have decided that it will remain a premium experience rather than going free-to-play. Development of new content will slow down after this official release, but the adventure doesn’t end here for Save the World.
Furthermore, Epic Games has announced a new feature, Ventures, which is going to sustain replayability. It is a game mode with new modifiers or affixes to tackle, which is going to introduce diversity into each event. Each Venture season is estimated to bring continued progression and new levels to climb.
The venture game mode will also grant seasonal experience with new encounters and weapons, including rewards. Venture levels also tend to unlock Supercharger materials. However, any of the changes have somewhat disappointed the fans, who believed that Save The World would be available for free, rather than being a title behind a paywall.
