Epic Games decided to revert Fortnite’s patch changes from yesterday, where Turbo Building was nerfed to the ground. Performing 90s will no longer be a nightmare, but placing a wall while being spammed at will be pretty much deadly.
According to Epic Games’ announcement, Turbo Building will feel the same and will be only different while turtling. The time to replace a structure when turtling is 0.15 seconds, which is somewhat a deadly factor and will no longer preserve the owners from taking damage. Furthermore, it will perform a coinflip between those who are trying to rebuild the structure and decide which one’s build will take place.
These changes have a purpose to neglect the ping advantage and produce fairer gameplay. It is also the first time in a while for Epic Games to hear its community, after a series of unforgiven mistakes and wrong conduct.
Below you can find the Turbo Build changes in details:
- Turbo Building timing for placing subsequent pieces changed back to 0.005* seconds from 0.15 seconds.
- After a structure is destroyed, there will be a time of 0.15 seconds before another piece can be placed in the same location.
- If two players are attempting to place a piece at the same time and location where a piece was just destroyed, a random roll will determine whose piece is placed, instead of ping playing such a large role.
