Enlisted Update 70 Brings Spawn Tweaks, Shotgun Pilot Buff, and AI Improvements

New patch adjusts spawn points, adds shotguns for pilots, improves AI gear and interface features.

Enlisted just received its 70th update focused on fixing smaller bugs and adding features that affect battle flow and player experience. This patch might seem like a collection of little tweaks, but they could change how you approach some fights and manage your squads.

One of the notable changes is the adjustment of spawn points on several maps, including Communist Street West (Invasion), Univermag (Confrontation), Gogol Street West (Invasion), and both Wald maps. The goal is to make those areas feel more balanced and less frustrating to play. Additionally, the time to capture certain points has been adjusted to keep battles more dynamic and engaging.

Here’s a fun one: pilots can now equip shotguns. Previously, when pilots exited their vehicles, they were quite vulnerable. Now, with shotguns, they’ll have a better chance defending themselves on foot. It’s a small but welcome change that adds some variety to vehicle combat scenarios. I wonder if this will lead to some unexpected shotgun ambushes!

The interface also gets some love. A search field has been added to the squad selection screen, allowing you to find specific squads or reserve vehicles by their names. It sounds simple, but it can save you some time when organizing your forces. Plus, event weapons get their own filter option in the equipment menu, making it easier to find your rare or favorite guns and jump straight into battle.

On the AI side, commanders now have equipment restrictions based on battle rating (BR). In low BR battles (I-II and II-III), AI soldiers only use weapons up to BR II. For higher BR battles (III-IV and IV-V), their gear is capped at BR IV. Flamethrowers remain available across all BRs. This change should prevent those bizarre moments where AI squads show up with unexpectedly powerful weapons, which could feel like a matchmaking glitch.

Additionally, AI soldiers now appear more diverse, thanks to an expanded wardrobe. It’s a nice touch that makes the battlefield feel a bit less repetitive and more lively. Surely, it’s a detail some players will appreciate without even noticing at first.

Patch Notes

  • Improved spawn point placement on Communist street West (Invasion), Univermag (Confrontation), Gogol street West (Invasion), Wald (Invasion), and Wald (Confrontation) missions.
  • Adjusted capture point times in several missions for more dynamic fights.
  • Pilots can now equip shotguns to better defend themselves when outside vehicles.
  • Added a search field on squad selection screen to find squads and vehicles by name.
  • Introduced a new equipment filter option for event weapons.
  • AI commanders’ soldiers limited to weapons up to BR II in low BR battles and BR IV in higher BR battles; flamethrowers remain available in all BRs.
  • Expanded wardrobe options for AI soldiers to increase visual variety.
  • Anti-tank guns no longer move when switching from “march position” to “combat position”.
  • Fixed flickering shadows under certain weather conditions.

Many of these changes originated from player feedback, which the developers continue to closely monitor. It’s always great when a game listens to its community. Have you noticed these updates in your matches yet? What do you think about pilots finally getting shotguns or the AI gear adjustments?
