Embark Studios has put out a fresh preview for ARC Raiders‘ next large update, and Riven Tides is only days away. The studio shared a scout-style post that lays out the map’s setting, a few of its points of interest, and a bit of story behind the area.
The new location is a coastal space built around an abandoned first-wave refuge, with attacks from the water and limited escape routes shaping the backstory. Embark’s preview also points to a hotel, a beachfront resort, and a dockyard tied to the Exodus, which gives the map a more specific identity than a simple new battleground.
In the lore snippet, the scouting party describes a place that once held people who were forced to leave, with the coast now carrying the weight of what happened there. The write-up also suggests that something on the map played a part in the Exodus effort that sent humanity into space after the ARC arrived on Earth.
Embark has also been sending out teaser emails in recent weeks, including Polaroid-style images that appear to line up with the new map’s key areas. Those locations include the Exodus Hotel, officially named Panorama Azzurro, a beachfront resort with a dried-out pool and bar, and Customs House alongside a stacking yard and dock area.
