Embark Studios has pushed ARC Raiders Patch 1.12.0 to address multiple exploits players were using to gain unfair advantages in PvP, including item and ammo duplication and several out-of-bounds glitches on the Stella Montis map.
ARC Raiders launched on October 30, 2025, and quickly drew a large multiplayer audience. As with most competitive online games, players soon found and shared ways to exploit map geometry and game systems. Embark responded with a new patch aimed at closing those holes.
The Stella Montis map had several problematic spots. Raiders discovered an exploit that let players glitch through the roof and take shots from unintended positions. Other issues included cases where players could damage opponents from behind geometry and methods to duplicate items and ammo.
There was also a reported method to duplicate throwables by disconnecting Wi-Fi at the exact moment of a throw. Embark moved to stop those mechanics and other duplication methods in this release. Embark has previously acknowledged a surge of cheaters and said it is improving detection and bans. For context on the earlier discussion and developer responses, see the cheater surge update published in January.
One early exploit in ARC Raiders let players force themselves into locked rooms full of high-value loot. Embark addressed that by adding traps that damage intruders who enter without a key.
PATCH NOTES
Patch 1.12.0 focuses on closing several duplication methods and map exploits that affected PvP balance. The list below reproduces the fixes the developer published.
- Item duplication exploit.
- Ammo duplication exploit.
- Cases where players were able to damage others from behind geometry.
- Out of bounds map locations on Stella Montis.
Embark continues to monitor community reports and roll out targeted fixes as new exploits appear. Players should expect further updates as the studio tightens detection and bans against cheaters.
