ELDEN RING Players Will Chase Shared Goals Across 4 Monthly Questlines
The first path runs through September 28, while the later challenges will offer commemorative artwork and Twitch chat badges, with 3 artwork pieces still unrevealed.
ELDEN RING’s Community Quests event is underway, giving the wider Tarnished community four shared goals to complete across the rest of 2026. The opening questline began on September 1 and remains active through September 28, while three later paths will run in October, November, and December. A Steam announcement sets out the targets and rewards for each stage.
The event celebrates the recently released ELDEN RING Tarnished Edition for Nintendo Switch and the available Tarnished Pack. It follows the August release of the Tarnished Pack, with the new community activity adding a reason for players to return to the Lands Between together.
The community goals run through December
Path of the Tarnished runs through September 28
Path of the Tarnished is the active questline. Its shared targets include summoning Sorcerer Rogier 300,000 times, obtaining 2,000,000 Stonesword Keys, collecting 1,500,000 Cookbooks, and gathering 1,000,000 Sacred Tears. The reward is commemorative artwork by Shimhaq and a Twitch Chat Badge featuring Sorcerer Rogier by Carsondrewit.
Path of the Cardinal Sin begins October 1
The second path will run from October 1 through October 28. The community will need to commit 50,000 Cardinal Sins, summon 3,000,000 White Phantoms, obtain 1,000,000 Festering Bloody Fingers, and collect 3,000,000 Golden Seeds. Its commemorative artwork will be revealed later, while the Twitch Chat Badge features the Festering Bloody Finger by Carsondrewit.
Path of the Elden Lord follows in November
Path of the Elden Lord will be active from November 2 through November 28. Its goals call for 50,000 summons of Warrior Jar Alexander, 3,000,000 Rune Arcs, 500,000 Legendary Armaments, and 100,000 Standard Spirit Ashes upgraded to +8. The path will award another artwork piece to be revealed and a Twitch Chat Badge featuring Warrior Jar Alexander by Carsondrewit.
Path of Shadows closes the schedule
The final questline will run from December 1 through December 28. Tarnished will work toward collecting 1,000,000 Scadutree Fragments, reaching the Abyssal Woods 15,000 times, drinking from St. Trina’s Nectar 10,000 times, obtaining 70,000 Larval Tears, and collecting 500,000 Revered Spirit Ashes. Its artwork has not been revealed, and the accompanying Twitch Chat Badge features St. Trina by Carsondrewit.
A separate Discord contest adds a creative track
Alongside the shared in-game goals, a separate creative emote contest will take place inside the ELDEN RING Discord server. It is distinct from the four questlines, which will each run during their own monthly window and provide a new community target to chase.
