Here’s something wild: a player just finished a solo run of Elden Ring Nightreign without leveling up. You read that right—sticking to level 1 the entire time. It’s a vast flex and a clear sign of how much skill and patience this game demands.
Elden Ring Nightreign usually lets you team up with friends, making fighting enemies and exploring the world easier. When you have a buddy or two backing you up, plus the right build, survival feels less brutal—but trying to go it alone? That’s a whole different beast.
YouTuber Youwy decided to take on that challenge and share a 47-minute video showing the entire run. He used the Executor build, which leans on a high Arcane stat and a katana. His strategy relied on the Night of Miasma and Night of the Wise relics to stack poison, bleed, and frost effects, turning every hit into a nasty status effect.
Staying level 1 didn’t stop him from playing smart. Instead of rushing through, he unlocked three Flask Charges by visiting churches to get more healing, which probably saved his skin more than once. Watching him lure enemies one by one, dodging attacks from every angle, was pretty intense. You could tell he kept cool even when the screen was swarming with foes.
The climax came on Day 3 against the Darkdrift boss. Using chilling mist, poisoning the enemy, and triggering Frostbite with precise hits, he dodged all the dangerous area attacks and kept landing blows. It was a real test of timing and patience.
Comments on the video were full of awe and jokes. One user joked about the next level of difficulty: “Only a matter of time before we get the starter-level-one-no-upgrade-blindfolded-three player-but-only-one-is-playing-controlled-via-dancepad-controlled-by-a-one-legged-golfish-on-a-unicycle-in-a-sensory-deprivation-chamber-hitless-run.” Honestly, that sounds insane but kinda hilarious.
Will someone try playing with a dance pad or just one hand next? Maybe! Elden Ring players always find new ways to push limits.
