Elden Ring: Nightreign continues to surprise its community. A player just defeated what many consider the most demanding boss in the game, Fulghor, Darkdrift Knight, with a single strike, and without any cheats. That’s right, no hacks or mods, just pure in-game strategy and a bit of luck.
Since launching in May, Nightreign, the roguelike spinoff from FromSoftware, has maintained a solid player base. Steam Charts shows over 90,000 daily PC players as of early July, which is impressive for a game of this niche. Part of that staying power comes from continuous free updates, including brutal boss variants called Everdark Sovereigns that rotate weekly, keeping the challenge fresh.
Currently, Fulghor, a towering centaur enemy, is the toughest Everdark Sovereign. Most players struggle even to scratch him, but one Nightfarer managed to obliterate him instantly using Ironeye’s Ultimate Art. The clip shared on Nightreign’s subreddit sparked a lot of chatter because the player used only gear and abilities available within the game’s default rules.\

How did they do it?
Well, it’s not just skill; it’s also about stacking the right build and a bit of RNG. The secret weapon here is the Grafted Blade Greatsword, a legendary armament known for its passive ability, Power of Vengeance. This effect boosts every stat on your character with each enemy kill, but the increments are tiny. You need a lot of kills to see a meaningful boost.
Because you only get limited time outside boss fights each day, grinding those kills is usually impossible. The workaround? Fighting bosses like Wormface or The Duke’s Dear Freja at the end of the day. Both spawn infinite enemies you can farm to ramp up your stats through Power of Vengeance.
If the RNG gods smile on you, this setup lets you one-shot even the most intimidating foes. It’s a rare achievement, but it shows how deep Nightreign’s mechanics go, rewarding players who experiment and push the limits.
