Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag remake rumors just won’t quit, and now the voice behind Edward Kenway is dropping hints that fans might have to jump back into the pirate’s shoes again. If you thought the remake was just a whisper, well, it’s sounding more like a full-blown shout.

Earlier this month, chatter from a merch maker accidentally spilled some tea about a Black Flag project. Now, Matt Ryan, the actor who voices Edward Kenway, got caught on camera teasing fans during a signing event. When asked if a fan had beaten the game, Ryan smirked and said, “Well, you might have to beat it again.“ Then he added there’s a reason for this, but he’s not allowed to reveal it. Classic tease, right?

Edward Kenway's voice actor, Matt Ryan, said this during a fan interaction. It looks like he hinted at the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Remake. 🔥

Honestly, it’s kinda tricky to ignore at this point. Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, already mentioned multiple Assassin’s Creed remakes are in the works, and given how Black Flag remains a fan favorite, it’s only natural that it’s getting some love. The timing is a bit odd, with no major announcements during recent game showcases and Ubisoft facing some internal drama, but perhaps that’s why the company is keeping things hush-hush for now.

Here’s a question: Will the Black Flag remake arrive before the long-awaited Splinter Cell remake? Ubisoft teased the latter years ago, but fans are still waiting. The sea’s full of surprises, and this might be one of them!
