EA ships another Sims 4 patch – fixes WooHoo in broken steam rooms and stops werewolves watching TikTok

EA has released a quality-of-life patch for The Sims 4 that addresses over 150 issues, including preventing Sims from WooHoo-ing in broken steam rooms and stopping werewolves from getting distracted by TikTok, and it adds a free West African item collection.

The Sims 4 has received another maintenance patch as part of EA’s two-month bug-fix push, and this one reads like a checklist from someone who spends too much time watching players break the rules of domestic physics. The update fixes more than 150 issues, patches oddball interactions like Sims trying to WooHoo in broken steam rooms, and prevents rampaging werewolves from pausing mid-hunt to stare at TikTok.

Late September’s commitment to a focused maintenance window continues to pay off. The second quality-of-life patch arrives slightly later than EA planned, but it bundles a hefty set of community-requested fixes reported via forums and social channels. The first round of fixes landed earlier in the month; readers can see our coverage of that rollout in The Sims 4 July 16 Update Fixes Pregnancy Glitches and Other Bugs.

Beyond the bug squashing, EA added a free, culturally themed item pack for players to download. The West African collection was made with the Pan African Gaming Group and community contributors and brings clothing, decor, and named food items into the build-and-buy menus so players can dress sims in regionally inspired outfits and set a matching table.

The patch notes cover a grab bag of issues. Some fixes are mundane but crucial, like pets appearing deformed or children vanishing from lots, while others are pure Sims comedy, such as interactions that let Sims attempt intimate actions in non-functional steam rooms. Werewolves also got several interaction fixes, so they behave like actual threats instead of distracted phone addicts.

EA’s original post said the quality-of-life initiative represents the end of the scheduled two-month effort. However, the publisher noted ongoing work will continue to respond to player feedback via the forums. The developer has also signaled a larger technology refresh is planned further down the road. This patch is part of a broader moment for the franchise: a recent acquisition and a stream of creator departures have left the Sims community attention-scarred, and the team is trying to stabilize the game while promising it remains a place for player expression.

If the patch squashes the oddities that turned kitchens and steam rooms into slapstick stages, players should notice fewer surreal interruptions to their domestic soap operas. For those tracking the details, the full list of fixes and the free item collection are available from EA’s announcement linked above.
