Dying Light has been out for around two weeks, and since its launch, there has been a bug that’s been indirectly destroying players’ save files without an opportunity to circumvent the issue. The issue is caused by a death-loop bug causing a repetitive death of your character without having an option to spawn at an earlier spot.
The bug has been reported numerous times, even posted in Twitter responses on Dying Light 2 official profile. For that reason, the developer decided to post a clarification and ensure players that it’s working on a fix.
The Death Loop bug in Dying Light 2 is caused during a quest within a restricted area and gets respawned into another part of the map. This traverses into an infinite loop, disabling the player to get back on his main objective.
For that reason, Techland decided to post a clarification on the Death Loop Bug in Dying Light 2. The developer said that the bug could be replicated. While it may not sound hard to reproduce this issue, I wouldn’t recommend you do so if you don’t want to get stuck in a particular area of the map.
The developer also noted that the previous big patches could not fix the already broken saved games, so it’s currently working on allowing the players to rollback the campaign to some of the most crucial moments of the story. This will also enable them to combat any similar future encounters.
Survivors! We hear you: death-loop bug is a serious problem we know of and we do everything to solve this issue ASAP. Thank you for your patience and feedback! pic.twitter.com/ehWat4zGWM
